Tested and approved by the new Deutsche Bahn quality standard DBS 918 340, RIPOL Series 5 is suitable for coating steel and aluminum substrates in the technical and decorative interior areas of Deutsche Bahn rail vehicles. It can also be used for coating aluminum substrates in the technical exterior areas of these vehicles.

Today, all materials used in rail vehicles must follow the DIN EN 45545-2 standard to achieve the highest level of safety possible in the event of a fire.
RIPOL Series 5 polyester powder coatings meet all conditions for Hazard Level 1/2/3 (HL1/HL2/HL3), requirement sets R1, R6, R7, and R17 according to table 5 of DIN EN 45545-2:2016.
