Polyester Systems
Chemical natureRIPOL’s polyester powder coatings have excellent UV resistance characteristics, no chalking, excellent mechanical characteristics, good resistance to chemical agents (detergents, lubricants, acids and diluted alkalis) and are mainly used to coat products that will be used outdoors in the following sectors:
- RIPOL Series 5 Systems for Architecture
- RIPOL Series 5 SBCR Systems for Architecture and Sublimation
- RIPOL Series 5 and 6 ACE Durable and super durable systems for the ACE sector
- RIPOL Series 6 Classical systems for industry in general
The RIPOL Series 5 polyester coatings are used mainly in the architectural sector to paint products such as profiles, aluminium doors, windows and shutters, façade surfaces, products in steel and galvanized steel for use in the automotive sector, sports equipment and street furniture. The RIPOL Series 5 coatings are QUALICOAT and GSB certified depending on their degree of durability:
- QUALICOAT Class 1 – Standard GSB (Standard Durability)
- QUALICOAT Class 2 – Master GSB (High Durability)
The RIPOL Series SBCR polyester systems are used mainly in the architectural sector and are specifically formulated to favour the absorption of decorations during the sublimation process (InkTransfer).
RIPOL Series 5 and 6 ACE includes durable and super durable polyester resin based systems, formulated using pigments characterized by excellent thermal resistance and solidity to light. They are ideal for painting products to be used outdoors such as agricultural machinery, earth moving machines and equipment and automotive accessories.
The coatings of the RIPOL Series 6 family include polyester resin based systems with good resistance to atmospheric agents and UV rays, good mechanical properties and good resistance to chemical agents (detergents, lubricants, acids and diluted alkalis).
They are ideal for use in industry in general to paint metal structures and products for exterior use where the strict specifications of the architecture sector do not apply. They are used above all to paint gates, garden furniture, agricultural equipment, bicycles, automotive accessories and road signs.
